Poor Caleb

*Some of the images I've included may disturb some readers. Hell, all of the images disturb me...so, proceed with caution!

Remember Aidan's chicken pox? Caleb's case is exponentially worse. Oh, I know! Let's compare!

Front:

Back:

We're calling the doctor tomorrow because of this:

Oh, and the ones on his left eyeball:

Liam, most likely because he's still breastfeeding, has less than ten pox. He is not, however, sleeping well. Not sleeping. Oooooh. And he's suffering with a fever, though Caleb's is higher (103.5 this morning).

Right now, all three boys are in bed and Jim and Jeff are playing baseball. I am tired after a day at work with the flu (Jim stayed home today), and all I want to do is watch some Lost episodes and lie on the couch. So guess what? That's what I'm going to do! Then, to bed early...'cause I just have this funny feeling that Liam will be up all night again tonight.

Fun times over here!

OMG. That poor child. Oh, and poor Mommy too. My kids have never had the chicken pox. Right now, looking at these pictures, that's a streak I'm hoping to continue.

Gosh I hope healthier times are just around the corner for your wee ones. Two of mine were sick last week, and the summer seems so much longer already! Good luck.

Ohhhhhhh, poor Caleb is right. I am wincing for him (my gosh, the kid looks happy still even in that state).

YIKES!!! And then MORE yikes!! Tree, that is mighty impressive pox. Much itchy and scratchiness? Poor Caleb. The leg looks nasty though - hope the doctor can clear that up one way or another...

I am SOOOOOOO glad our kids got vaccinated for chicken pox! They still "got it" but it was only a couple of bumps each.

I hope Caleb feels better soon. Try an oatmeal bath - those helped when I had it as a kid.

Poor little guy! He looks remarkably cheerful for someone who's so itchy. Hope you're all feeling better soon.

Wow, Caleb looks great! Doesn't do things in halves, does he? Is he still contagious? I almost want to bring Sasha over so that he can get them now, so it won't be as bad...I kinda don't want that new immunization against the chicken pox, if we can avoid it...

Jill

P.S. Keep your chin up! This, too, will pass...as my mother would say!

Oh, and I have officially given Blogger the finger. I have imported my entire site to WordPress, comments and all. I will be posting there from now on. It was easy, it was clean, it was free, and best of all... it WORKS!!!!

You might want to change the link in your sidebar when you get a chance.

Hope you all are doing better.

Ugh, how awful!!! I hate to mention it but when a child gets pox that bad they can also get them internally. I took care of a little gal who had them in her esophagous and lungs. Not that it's anything to worry about in a healthy child - it just makes you feel for them even more. :( My thoughts are with your family, hoping you have a very uneventful and healthy rest of the summer.
