It's Good To Be Able To Laugh At Oneself

"...the serum coats the hair fiber and tames frizz for long lasting, silky smooth and super shiny hair."

This is me after 45 minutes with a straightening iron and increasingly shocking amounts of frizz-free hair serum:

I don't think I have to tell you the valuable lesson I have learned here today.

Yeesh.

Either that bottle of hair serum is broken, or my hair is...

I LOVE that you posted that picture. Maybe, uh, time to call in the professional hair-smoothers? The people you read about in Lucky Magazine? A Gatineau hair spa?

I don't know - it gives you a certain air, a flair, a "je ne sais que pas" ...

What are Jim and the boys saying (between your squealing and their laughter)?!

Congrats on the Reiki! One of my co-workers and her sister are both Reiki certified. In fact, the one gal has now bookmarked you to follow your energy work.

You are a beautiful lady....with a bad hair day.

OMG! I totally am having the reverse hair of you! My hair looks now like your "before" picture! And I feel so unlike me, I am not used to it yet. But we all know what "temporary" means, so it's all right!

Oh my. Memories of failed hairdos in my past flash before my eyes. My sympathies.

P.S. Phil says that you can play in the next Lion King.

Oh. Dear. Yeah....I've seen that in the mirror before.

After years of fighting my natural curl, I've learned the best option is to just let it do what it's going to do, and not make it something it's not, because....wow.

And yet, you're still grinning. That's why we like you.

HAHAHAHA! That is hilarious and SO TRUE about hair serum! I have naturally curly hair too and the only thing that works is to put loads of hair gel in while it is fairly dripping wet.

The smile you have makes the hairdo appear almost trendy.

It's only hair.....and look how many people you have made smile..even laugh. You still look cute as ever. It's long enough to put in a bun till it gets better. Ask Shannon to lend you a banana clip. lol Sue

cute as a button, as always!

i do think that if you want to try again what you need is a commercial grade flat iron (i know this because my hair is crazy curly frizzy and it's the only thing that works).

i got my solano blue sapphire professional flat iron on ebay for less than half retail :) geez, i sound like an ad! i'm not! it's just me!

LMAO!!!

Why would you want to straighten that gorgeous head of curls? You need to know how much money I've spent on having my hair spiraled over the years. Let's just trade scalps!
