Ghost Story Tuesday

So here's the deal, peeps: I'm running a little low on ghost stories (gasp!). Don't get me wrong; I've got tons...but most of them are from readings. Readings which are confidential. So, they're not really my stories to tell, you know? Man! There was this one that scared the living CRAP out of me for weeks! That ghost hung around and was nasty and showed me things...anyways. That was somebody else's ghost. I have lots of things I could talk about, but the well, my friends? She is running a touch...dry.

So, there are a few things I could do with Ghost Story Tuesdays:

-I could keep on keepin' on - exhaust my well of experiences including energy work, etc. I could include my thoughts and theories and how this has affected me personally (like I always have).
-I could contact past clients and ask permission to tell their stories. This sounds great! But it's tough - I don't even know how to contact most of my past clients. Also, I don't know how I feel about telling other's stories...
-I could post occasionally, as I have more experiences.
-I could post the most recent conversation my brother and I have had about the expansion of the universe.

There's also this: I could find my creativity and realize that I have lots of stuff to write about. Maybe I just have the ghost story writer's block?

So here's what I'll do today: I'll ask what you'd like. And I'll offer the following choices for next Tuesday:

1) The Ghost at My In-law's
2) My Mom Saw a Ghost in the Window!
or,
3) A Remote Energy Read (I haven't asked anyone permission yet for this but I have a couple people in mind...that said, feel free to volunteer to have me write about a read I've done for you! I'll change names, o' course)

See? I still have some material. Heck, I had to pare it down. Maybe the well isn't so dry. Maybe I'm just so tired I could melt...and my brain has already started the process.

In other related news, my brother and I are in the planning stages of starting our business. Jeff will specialize in tarot readings and I'll focus on evergy work/readings for people. Jeff will help out with those as much as possible, and hopefully we'll end up teaching classes. We are excited! Expect to be asked for your input very soon...we're a little lost regarding some of the details. And of the utmost importance to us is not being lumped in with the crackpots out there who are doing this for the wrong reasons and without the gifts for it.

Sort of a lame GST entry, huh? Apologies. Can we calk it up to stress? How about distraction? Aidan has given me a running dialogue of everything that passes through his mind since I've started writing. And Liam is yelling at me from his exersaucer.

There's always the brain melting thing, too...

**Edited to add: What if I used Tuesdays to answer your questions about all this stuff? And if I have an experience that's particularly relevant or simply one I'd like to share, I'll post that?!?**

Tree can you help me with a ghopst related question???

Here is my recent experience:

OK, deep breath.....

About a month ago I was asleep when I suddenly awoke out of the blue. I often feel like there is someone standing in the corner of my room and that night as soon as I woke up I literally think I saw a browny/blacky 'thing' rush back into my body from that corner. I am a 100% normal human being and if I read this written by someone else I would think they were a loony. Problem is, it happened to me.

What do you make of it? Do you think it was my soul?????? My two theories were:
1. It was my soul that somehow came out and had to rush back in when I awoke suddenly or
2. There was someone else jumping into me for some odd reason.

This is also going to sound wierd- I was disturbed by this because the 'thing' was black or brown. I had this odd feeling that if it was my soul it would be bright or white or something.

So that's my story. Simple and scary and totally odd. My hope is that it was all a wierd dream but maybe you know better? You mentioned recently that seeing people in the corner of your room isn't good. Please tell me that I haven't got something bad around me....

~~~
Lucylou,
First you are NOT a loony! This is more common than you think. I can't give you a solid answer, though, because I have more questions:
How did you feel after the entitiy rushed into you? Did you experience any difference in the way you felt or thought? Did you see any images or hear any sounds?
Have you ever experienced presences before? How?
Even not knowing the answer to those questions, I can pretty safely say that it wasn't your "soul". The way I've put it all together, your soul is, essentially, YOU. If you were outside your body, you'd know it. In other words, YOU'D be the one standing in the corner, rushing into your body. If your soul was outside your body, there's no way you'd wake up inside your body, see?
So no worries about that.
The most likely two explanations are:
1) This is a trickster. Remember them? They like to hang around those of us sensitive enough to sense them and freak us out. That's it.
2) This is someone trying to get your attention. This is why I need to know if you've experienced anything else. Have you lost someone close to you? Are there any questions remaining about their death? That's just an example of why someone would be trying to get through to you.
If you think it's number 2, there are some ways to figure things out and put this person to rest. email me!
If you think it's number 1, there's nothing to worry about. BUT it shows you're succeptable to tricksters...there are ways to block them, especially when you're vulnerable, like at night. email me!
Phew! Hope that helped!
Tree,
How do you do remote readings?
I mentioned in a previous posting's comments that I woke up to a black figure next to bed. To this day, I'm still wondering what it was. It didn't scare me and I'm not sure if that was a trickster.
There's also the possibility that these figures standing in our rooms or next to our beds are people watching out for us. I've talked to so many people who've woken up to see lost relatives stading by the bed, just smiling or...just being there.
I think spirits are attracted to us when we're sleeping. That's not meant to scare anyone...really, it's not scary. It's just that we're the most open and vulnerable when we're sleeping. So many sightings happen just as people are waking up...and I truly believe that it's often not people we know...it's just people who can sense that you're sensitive enough to see them.
Oops. I do remote readings the same way I do in-person readings; I find a way to connect to a person's energy (understandably easier when the person is in the room with me!) and take a look. Sometimes I get a good connection; sometimes I don't. It's fun, though, and generally successful, unless too many entities come in and mess things up!
Can you try to locate specific people or do you just wait to see who emerges?
I would love to try and contact my husband's sweet teen niece who died last year of cystic fibrosis. Is that possible or one of those "don't know till you try"?
Anything you offer up on Ghost Story Tuesday is fine with me!
Whatever you do with GST is fine with me...if you end up answering questions I would probably throw a few in there for you. Or if anything comes up with Larry's apartment I'll e-mail you. Or maybe we could set up a remote reading so we could figure out what's up with the figures I saw as a child...I didn't post a GS today. [frown]
Hi Tree! The Remote Energy Reading sounds interesting. I think that writing about any area that interests you is likely to have a postive effect. Answering questions is good too! I think it is a good way to learn more about yourself and your readers too.
I don't really have any questions I don't think but I've really enjoyed reading other peoples' questions!
I, personally, would love to know more about energy work, and remote readings. I really enjoy Ghost Story Tuesday, and I would hate to see it go away, so whatever tickles your fancy is really fine by me.
I just recently got my own blog, and posted my very first Ghost Story Tuesday entry there today!
I know that I've got two experiences to share. One that I'm relatively comfortable with and one that still confuses me and gives me the heebie jeebies. I think answering questions is a great idea.
I love GST whichever way it turns out. Even if it does make me feel a little spooked after I've been reading it! In fact ESPECIALLY if it makes me feel spooked.
I am SO glad you and Jeff are actually going ahead and planning your business! I can't imagine anything better than doing something you love and are good at for a living. Oh how I wish I lived closer!!
Remember that email I sent you? Feel free to share that...along with what you think it was all about.
I have lots of other things/stories I could send you and you could share them and add what you think they are all about.
I would LOVE to have you do a remote reading...and I don't mind if you use it on your blog.
And...if you are answering question, I probably have about a thousand!
Tree, I swear that I commented here, yesterday, but blogger must have eaten it. That's the second time that's happened.
I'd love to see you answer questions for GST.. But really, anything you do will be fine by me.
Why is it bad to see a figure in the corner of the room?
